The Introduction
The purpose of this Vison is to introduce to you our church, what is our purpose, our vision, our ‘Statement of Faith’, our position, and history…
No one board a plane unless he knows the purpose of the flight, its direction and above all who is driving that plane..  Is he qualified to get it safely to its destiny..
Choosing the right church is very similar.  The church is supposed to take care of people’s spiritual needs and other needs too…
Therefore it is very important for you to know to whom you are going to entrust your spiritual life !!
That is why in this Vision we’ll try to explain plainly our purpose, vision, faith, history, rules and regulations…

- Our purpose
There is nothing more discouraging for a person than not to know his purpose in life, why he lives and the reason of his existence!!
The Gospel explains clearly the purpose of the Church as a whole, and the purpose of every person whom God created.
God created you and gave you a purpose in life.   And that purpose is not to struggle for surviving.   God never intended for you to be like the waves of the sea, blown and tossed by the wind of life without having any authority over your life, your future..
On the contrary, God gave you authority to live a victorious life, He gave you the name of His Son Jesus, to be able to tear down any obstacle that come to stand before you or before your loved ones..

- Our Vision:
After having discovered your purposes in life and the purpose of your church, you need to have a vision from the Lord.    God intended for every person to have the same purpose in life which he proclaimed in His word, in the Bible..
While every person and every church should have the same purpose, every person and every church should have a different vision.   Your vision is God’s special call for you personally.   If you try to achieve your purposes without a vision you will certainly fail.   The vision is given from God and it will help you to know where, when and how to achieve your purposes.
We serve a mighty God who not only gives us our purposes but also the right vision to achieve those purposes.
After you discover your purposes, the vision will give you the power and will enable you to see by faith, spiritual opportunity to achieve your purposes regardless of your circumstances.
God gives us our purposes and the vision to achieve them.
The church should understand the importance of receiving a vision form God and should help its members discover their visions through prayer and guidance..
God will put those who have discovered their visions in the right church where their visions could find the right soil to grow in, in the right way.
Members of every church have different visions but all the visions fit together, complete each other, and comes under the over arching vision of the church.
Therefore it is very important to discover through prayer what church God wants to plant you in.   And one of the ways to discover what church God intended for you to be part of, is to discover the vision of that church.
The will of God for every person is to be a member in a church.
If you are not sure about your vision and about what church to be part of, keep on attending the meetings of the church where you are right now until the picture is clarified, until you sense on the inside of you where the Holy Spirit is leading you.
The vision is God’s given, without it we cannot do much.
‘It is not by might nor by power but by my Spirit says the Lord’  ( Zech 4:6)
Without a vision the people perish ( Proverbs 29:18)

- Our Faith:
After knowing your purposes and discovering your vision what you need to know now is what you believe in.    Many Christians today don’t know precisely what they believe in.  Their knowledge is shallow even though if it proceeds out of a genuine heart.  My people are perishing for lack of knowledge  ( Hosea 4:6)
Every Christian should know what he believes in, and should have faith in his beliefs.
To have faith, you need to know in what and in whom to believe.
Once you know clearly in what you believe, your faith would be unshakable, why ?
Because we believe in the truth. We believe in the one who is the Truth.
Jesus said:”   I am the way the truth and the life…’ (John 14:6)
Jesus is the truth and He is our truth..

- Organization, Rules & Regulations:
Once you have discovered your purposes, vision and doctrines, you will automatically see the importance of organization and rules and regulations..
Through the Holy Spirit and the word of God you will be able to understand the rules and regulation of your church and you will also be able to set your own rules and regulations that will help you to be organized in your personal life..
Rules and regulations are like the railway of the train.   The railway is there to make sure that the vision is moving powerfully on the right track.

Summary:
All the things that were mentioned above are from the Lord and for the Lord…
Discipline, organization, rules & regulations are not religious activities for there is order in heaven... For a church to he strong it needs to be well organized..
A church grows by the power of God through the efforts and skills of His children.
We are not perfect,
but God uses imperfect people in imperfect situations to achieve His perfect will

The Identity
King Of Kings’ Jounieh, is part of the Evangelical ‘Assembly Of God’.
‘Assembly Of God’ is an Evangelical Pentecostal church and is a member of  the High Counsel of the Evangelical denomination of Syria & Lebanon.

1- Evangelical Church:
We belong to the Evangelical denomination, i.e. we rely totally on the Bible and consider it as the first and final authority.

2- Pentecostal Church:
We are Pentecostal, i.e. we believe in the gifts of the Holy Spirit like healing, deliverance from evil spirits and speaking in tongues…
Pentecostal is not a denomination.  A Pentecostal believer is someone who believe in the promise of the Lord to fulfill every believer if he wishes, by His Holy Spirit in order to receive power and spiritual gifts.   Every genuine believers in the Lord Jesus, and regardless of what denomination he belongs to, he can by faith, experience the baptism of the Holy Spirit (i.e. to be filled with the Spirit). Than he shall receive power with the initial evidence of speaking in tongues.
The Pentecostal experience is the same experience which the first apostles enjoyed on the day of Pentecost (Where the name is derived from) when they were filled with the Holy Spirit.
Act 2:1-4
When the day of Pentecost had come, they were all together in one place. 2 And suddenly from heaven there came a sound like the rush of a violent wind, and it filled the entire house where they were sitting. 3 Divided tongues, as of fire, appeared among them, and a tongue rested on each of them. 4 All of them were filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak in other languages, as the Spirit gave them ability.
Mark 16:17-18
And these signs will accompany those who believe: by using my name they will cast out demons; they will speak in new tongues; 18 they will pick up snakes in their hands, and if they drink any deadly thing, it will not hurt them; they will lay their hands on the sick, and they will recover."

In Summary:
We are Evangelical for we believe in the eternal word of God
We are Pentecostal for we believe in the mighty power and gifts of the Holy spirit.

Jesus said:
Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will not pass away
( Luke 21:33)
But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you
( Act 1:8)

The Faith
Summary Of Our Faith
(stated in a simplified way to make it easy to be understand by people of our culture):

First: We believe what the Apostle Paul said  All Scripture is given by I inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness.. (: 2 Timothy 3:16) ThereforeThe Bible is our all-sufficient rule for faith and practice.
Second: We believe as the Bible declares that there is no redemption and forgiveness of sin and eternal life except through the Lord Jesus Christ alone: Acts 4:12 "Nor is there salvation in any other, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved." 1 Timothy 2:5 For there is one God and one Mediator between God and men, the Man Christ Jesus John 2:1 .. if anyone sins, we have an Advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous. 2 And He Himself is the propitiation for our sins, and not for ours only but also for the whole world.
Third: We believe as the Bible declares that salvation is a free gift from God, we are saved by the grace of God. Whoever believes in his heart and confess with his mouth that Jesus Christ is the Lord and Saviour, that He is God who became flesh, that He was born from  a virgin, that he was crucified for our sins, that he rose from the dead to redeem us from sin, he will be born again of the Spirit (Joh 3:6-8) and will become a new creation. Titus 3:4    But when the kindness and the love of God our Savior toward man appeared, 5 not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to His mercy He saved us, through the washing of regeneration and renewing of the Holy Spirit, 6 whom He poured out on us abundantly through Jesus Christ our Savior
Fourth: We believe as the Bible declares in one universal church. Every person who is born again, who had a genuine salvation experience belong to the church of Jesus, to His body..
Fifth: We believe as the Bible declares that the gifts of the Holy Spirit are for  every believer, like divine healing, casting out demons, speaking in tongues…
Jesus said: Mark 16:17 "these signs will follow those who believe: In My name they will cast out demons; they will speak with new tongues; 18 "they will take up serpents; and if they drink anything deadly, it will by no means hurt them; they will lay hands on the sick, and they will recover.
Six: We believe as the Bible declares praise & worship are due only to the Lord. Matthew 4:10 'You shall worship the LORD your God, and Him only you shall serve.'

A person expresses his love for God through worshipping Him in spirit and in truth, through a life of righteousness, prayer, praise 7 worship…  The Bible not only tell us to serve and worship the Lord but it it also tells us how to do it: Psalm 150:1 Praise the LORD! Praise God in His sanctuary; Praise Him in His mighty firmament! 2 Praise Him for His mighty acts; Praise Him according to His excellent greatness! 3 Praise Him with the sound of the trumpet; Praise Him with the lute and harp 4 Praise Him with the timbrel and dance; Praise Him with stringed instruments and flutes! 5 Praise Him with loud cymbals; Praise Him with clashing cymbals!  6 Let everything that has breath praise the LORD. Praise the LORD!
